Spring Book Fair – Wednesday/Thursday

The Daniel Bagley Library, in partnership with the University Bookstore, will be hosting a Spring Book Fair this week.  Come by the library to browse the beautiful selection of books.  We’ll have a great selection of art related books as well! Proceeds from our Spring Book Fair will first go to support the PTA’s 12 Books Program.  All remaining proceeds will buy books for the DBE Library!

The Book Fair (Flyer) will be open for sales:

Wednesday May 22nd, 3:00pm-3:30pm
Thursday (Art Walk) May 23rd, 8-10am and 4-8pm

You can also shop at the University Bookstore or online at ubookstore.com, from May 20-26th, and Daniel Bagley will receive a percentage of your purchases – Just use the promo code BAG.  For questions, contact Ms. Wynkoop, rlwynkoop@seattleschools.org.

Thank you R.R. Russell!

Today, Mr. Moore and Ms. Stackhouse’s classes were treated to an author talk by newly minted author, R.R. Russell.  Ms. Russell shared of her 13 year struggle to find a publisher, her forthcoming sequel and the first in the series of books publised just last week, Wonder Light: Unicorns of the Mist.  Thanks to both R.R. Russell and Barnes and Noble (Northgate) for arranging this visit.  We currently have one copy in the DBE Library that is checked out with 11 holds.  I suppose I’ll be stopping by the bookstore this weekend to pick up a couple more!
