Around the World with Room 212

researchStudents in Room 212 spent the last few weeks of school researching countries from around the world.

Students used iPads independently to access and utilize PebbleGo (a K-3 online database), and WorldBook Online for their research.  Collecting new information, identifying sub topics, searching for images to support their research,  and then using Book Creator or Keynote to Publish their work!  Enjoy your trip around the world with the students of 214.

Endangered Animals

For a culminating Endangeredproject this year, students in room 103 were inspired, by Earth Day, to learn more about endangered animals and to share their new knowledge in the hopes of educating others about the importance of all animals in our world.

Exploring our World’s Biomes

Students in Room 220 spent the last couple of weeks researching various aspects of our world’s biomes.  Looking at Plants, Animals and People, students created scientific drawings as well as poems to help  share their learning.

Using keynote to collaboratively compile their research into biome books the students completed ebooks (in .pdf format) for the following biomes:

Grasslands Oceans
Mountains Polar Regions
Temperate Forests Tropical Rainforests
Wetlands Deserts
